Claude MCP + My bad prompts = GOLD

So often I think people think... "Wil, you are good at AI" and I'm like no I'm not, I have two beliefs...

1 - Things are figureoutable

2 - Test everything

Stop using "X person is good at AI" as your excuse, try stuff.

MCP is my new addiction, because it lets me connect various tools to one AI. I use Claude.

I asked Claude to open the following tools:

  1. Open Calendar
  2. Look up all appointments for today
  3. Look up each person in Gmail
  4. Look up each person in LinkedIn
  5. Based on what you found - what have I read that they might be interested in and why.

I got back very good stuff, all while I chilled and watched Claude do it's thing.

With that basic attempt to understand the power of MCP, I moved to real work.

So when I wanted to run an nGram analysis for every client at scale, something I've wanted to do for years, I built this amazing prompt:

Got this output, rmember I gave it NO context, I didn't say the client, I didn't tell it what the columns meant, I didn't tell it that it was a "paid search strategist" I just said, find a file, analyze a file.  Good job Claude, Good Job!

My second prompt though, that was the banger... Can you do it again on the next client?

Boom, it did it, went into my inbox found the names and email addresses of all of the clients associated with that client, drafted the email, put their names in the To: Field.  That was it. Draft waiting for me, can't wait for the data to hit my inbox next June 1, I'm going to lock down 3 hours and see if I can pour through every client, giving them my personal consulting touch and truly living into this big, cross-divisional, connected data vision.

I've been wanting to do this for 2.5 years, I figured it out in 2 hours and now I think I can do a client review for each client, adding my personal consult in no time, thanks Claude MCP, you alright!
