Jules — a program manager on Google's recruiting team — shared her tips for answering our non-technical interview questions ("tell me about a time when..."). "You may be surprised to learn just how many Googlers are working in non-technical roles," Jules explained. "These positions include business analysts, human resources, sales, marketing, public policy, communications and more." For all roles at Google, we ask non-technical questions to get a better understanding of how you approach and solve problems. Jules' advice for answering this type of question? "Try to find connections between the job listing and your resume. Re-read both to help you draw lines between the two and see where they connect. Once you’ve thought of the stories you want to share, be sure to gather supporting data that shows your impact. This will help your interviewer understand not just your overall achievements, but how big of an impact you made."
