- In this section, I'd like to talk about dynamic lock. So, at the start menu, I'll type in dynamic and I'll select the option for dynamic lock. And about halfway down, we have a check box for allow Windows to automatically lock your device when you're away. For me, it's grayed out because I'm operating over a remote session. But if you're not in a remote session, if you're logged in locally to your Windows 11 PC, you can check this box. What it will do is cause your Windows 11 PC to lock anytime you walk away from it. It does this by using the Bluetooth on your phone. So once your phone is out of Bluetooth range after about one minute, it will lock your computer. So if you're somebody that often forgets to lock your computer when you walk away, this could be a good option. Exactly, how far is Bluetooth range varies a lot from devices.
