Applying security settings by using Group Policy

- Now, we're going to look at applying some security settings in Windows 11 by using group policy. The goal of many of these settings will be to make our computer more secure. So, off the start menu, I'll type in group policy. The option that comes up is called edit group policy. And when I click on that, notice the window that is opened is called the local policy editor. And there we have navigation on the left hand side. I'm going to look under computer configuration, then open up Windows settings, then open security settings, and then open local policies. Under local policies, I'll click on user rights assignments and that will populate the right hand side of our interface. In here, we'll see a number of user rights and also that many of these are configured to be assigned to certain groups. So for example, allow log on locally is currently allowed for guest administrators, users, and backup operators.…
