- [Instructor] This course is designed to provide managers, programmers, and analysts with a good understanding of the approaches that can be taken to migrating legacy COBOL applications and the techniques used to prepare for migration. At a minimum, you should have a basic knowledge of the COBOL language in order to follow along with the hands-on sections of the course. I'll be installing and using Ubuntu Linux and the gnuCOBOL compiler to demonstrate COBOL coding. If you aren't familiar with them, there are courses in the LinkedIn Learning library which will help you get started.
