Tamper detection and countermeasures

- Tamper detection is a hardware security technique used to locate and discover unauthorized access, any modification, changes, or damage to electronic devices. It basically involves embedding sensors, protective coatings, and using specialized hardware in a system to detect and prevent physical interference. Some of the functionality would be using tamper sensors, sensors that detect unauthorized opening, pressure, or environmental changes to systems, and when they're triggered, they can send alerts or even shut down the system to prevent any further damage. Conformal coating and potting. Protective coatings are applied to the PCBs, the printed circuit boards, to make physical tampering much more difficult. Potting compounds encapsulate critical components, ensuring that tampering attempts cause visible damage, or actually render the device inoperable. There's cryptographic protection.
