- In this brief lesson, we'll review the importance of securing those third party integrations, and one of our primary solutions today might be using a managed security service provider, or an MSSP, which is a specialized type of managed provider that focuses exclusively on providing a wide portfolio of cybersecurity services. Unlike General MSPs, which offer a broad range of IT management services, MSSPs are dedicated to ensuring the security of an organization's IT systems. It's kind of like going to a buffet or a smorgasbord. You could use your MSSP, let's say, oh, I don't know, Fortinet FortiGate, to provide any one of these factors, like threat monitoring, or anti-phishing, or multi-factor authentication, and/or application control, vulnerability management and assessment, you could use them for penetration testing, and to support compliance and regulatory guidance.
