- In this lesson, we're going to talk about privileged identity management, also referred to as PAM, privileged account management, but we'll refer to it as PIM for the exam. And let's say in this scenario, we're going to be looking at Microsoft Azure. So it's going to involve Azure MFA. So what is kind of the use case here for PIM? Well, we can do several things with it. But we have this supplicant who needs to get access for a special case, for a special scenario. So what are we talking about, this person exactly who needs this kind of temporary time-based privileged access in the organization, in the enterprise. It could be a penetration tester, maybe some people from the pen testing team, a third party that come in that need temporary time-based privileged access. Maybe it's going to be a credentialed pen test. And you're going to give them maybe a domain user account or maybe even a privilege to use it.
