- Let's get into a brief introduction into Linux security and operating system security in general. The first thing I have to tell you is very, very important, and it is this, nothing is ever 100% secure. Nothing is ever 100% secure. I don't care what you do, it cannot be 100% secure. That idea is impossible in the real world. And that's because there's always a way around any given security precaution. Here's the thing, attackers or hackers, or whatever you want to call them, they are usually smart, they're usually motivated, they're well-funded sometimes, and absolutely persistent. And that's the key. If you have persistence, you can get anything done. So there's always a way around any given security precaution, especially with that persistence. So one of the things we can do is we can implement a zero trust environment in and out. So the idea is this, trust nothing and authenticate everything.
