416 3D MODELING - Adding simple fillets and chamfers to 3D solids

- [Instructor] Welcome to another tip and trick for AutoCAD. In this particular tip and trick, we're going to be taking a look at adding simple fillets and chamfers to 3D solids when we're 3D modeling. Now we've got a drawing for you to follow along with this tips and tricks video. It's called 416 3D Fillets & Chamfers.dwg. You know the drill by now. Download it from the library to follow along with this particular tips and tricks video. Now, when you open up the drawing, you should be in the Model tab, and you should see what you can see on the screen right now. Just before you do anything else though, make sure on your Layers panel, on the Layer dropdown, you are using the 3D solids layer. That's your current layer. Now, in order to work effectively with 3D modeling and chamfers and fillets, we need to get into a 3D modeling workspace. So we're going to come down here to the status bar, click on the little gear cog, and select 3D Modeling. You'll see the ribbon change, and you go…
