You can configure company-wide settings for calls and meetings should be recorded. When an individual team member's settings differ from the company's settings, the individual settings are used for that team member.
Click Company settings > Data capture > Recording settings.
In the Web conference calls area, answer the following questions:
Which meetings should be recorded?
Choose between:
a) Record calls only if the team member hosting the call is marked as recordable.
b) Record calls if at least one participant is marked as recordable.Note:
If you use the Gong bot for Zoom to record calls, you must give your Zoom users permissions to record to computer files. See Set up Zoom recording with the Gong bot
Should Gong record internal web conference calls?
All calls with participants who are external to the company are recorded. In this setting, you can choose whether to record:
a) All internal calls, or
b) Only calls where at least one participant is outside the companyMake sure your internal domains are defined in the Data protection & privacy page.
Should Gong record video?
Choose between recording audio and video, or audio only.
Select the name of the recording bot.
This is the "participant" name of the recording bot, seen by all participants of the call. It lets participants know they are being recorded. Choose one of the following:
Gong Recorder
[Your Company] Recorder by Gong
Gong AI Notetaker
Gong Notetaker
In the All calls area, define the minimum duration required for a call to be imported and analyzed.
This setting affects calls recorded using web conferencing and those imported from telephony providers.
Note:
For web conference calls and telephony calls, the default minimum is 30 seconds.
For calls made:
a) Using the Gong Dialer
b) Using a dialer that is associated with Gong Engage (even if the call is not made through Engage)
The default minimum is 3 seconds, and this CANNOT be changed manually.Click UPDATE to save your changes.
